About Sample
This project was in part inspired by Martin Percy’s award-winning interactive films – Lifesaver, Heart Class, and Real Talk About Suicide. His films are dramatic, high-impact experiences that have stayed with me, and I tried to capture a hint of that in my own way.
This sample is a quick, decision-based learning experience that teaches learners how to manage bleeding injuries in the workplace. Through carefully chosen music and visuals, the module creates the tension of a real emergency. It immerses learners in a realistic, scenario-driven experience.
At key decision points, learners are presented with multiple response options, each seemingly correct. For example, “Get the first-aid box” sounds like the obvious choice at one point, but the feedback reveals why “Apply pressure on the wound” is the correct answer. Each choice is followed by thoughtful feedback that reinforces the correct action.
All visuals were AI-generated and further edited in Graphic Design software like Canva and Adobe Illustrator. The photos convey tension and realism without excessive gore. Image generation was an iterative process. I experimented over multiple rounds with multiple tools to achieve visual consistency throughout the module.
The course ends with a downloadable First Aid Reference Guide, encouraging learners to print and keep it handy. The scenario, hopefully, drives home the message that serious health issues can affect us anywhere and at any time.
